Lanna & Jake's Engagements

Yesterday afternoon, I had the blessing of photographing the beautiful Lanna & Jake. All I can say is w-o-w. They are so kind, smart, considerate, laid-back, excited about one another, and just stellar. They met in high school, have been dating for about seven years and are tying the knot in May! I cannot wait for their beautiful event :D

I feel as though this session has been long awaited for, we had to re-schedule at least three times, although it was for great reasons! Jake kept getting interviews for PA school! 

They came prepared with amazing outfits, examples of photos, cool props, and the willingness to try anything. Lanna really liked the field-light infused photos---so get ready for some sun flare :)

So great getting to know you both (corny jokes and all!). I hope you like the photos! There were so many, I couldn't choose my favorites :)

belinda + matt | engagement

I met Belinda and Matt yesterday for their splendid engagement session. We took photos in Abilene, drove around, and all the while I got to cuddle, pet and love on their adorable four-month old dachshund (weiner dog)! Belinda is about to start student teaching, she wants to be a middle school math teacher. Matt is studying to be a high school counselor! Awesome right? They actually have known each other since high school! 

So everyone, may I happily introduce Belinda, Matt and Bella :).

Kylie + Trenton | Engagements

Kylie and Trenton's engagements started out exciting...we were to meet at the Ft. Worth Zoo and start the shoot there (since they are getting married there!!) although, we ran out of time. I got pulled over on the way there (compiled with traffic) and I was just too late! 

My traffic story is humorous however--it was a motorcycle cop that pulled me over (which they are hard to spot in the first place). I was driving like a mad scientist, in and out of lanes...then realized the Zoo was three lanes to my left and I was in the far right lane....so never fear, I zipped across and realized I had one more lane to go...and then I saw the man in uniform behind me. I froze, guilty for all 200 traffic violations I just performed, missed my turn, and then proceeded to drive 10 mph under the speed limit (while hunkering down in my seat). The cop honked at me (probably for being an annoying idiot), flashed his lights a couple times, and then pulled me over. After my hasty explanation, he died laughing and handed back my license (he was probably surprised I was issued one with the exhibited non-sensical maneuvers!!) Oh well, thank God no ticket and thanks to Kylie and Trenton for not thinking I'm completely off my rocker :D

Back to Kylie and Trenton. They are AWESOME. I could have shown about 20 more photos, but had to cap it off at my absolute favorites. Kylie knew what she wanted, not many serious shots, just fun and more funness. I can handle that! 

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! You two are such a sweet pair, thanks for asking me to take your engagements.

the only way to watch a movie

The day after Amy and Bryan's wedding, Ginger and I dedicated 24 hours to pure relaxation. At night we decided a movie was the way to go! Whenever we arrived at the theater, it was completely empty! Luckily we had our camera with us and decided to have fun....after about a million of these leaps....and scarf sweaps, we captured it! Isn't she fantastic? 

I'm shocked I still have some ups :D
