So I am really starting to love and appreciate my job. I work at a state school and despite people's initial impressions of "those places", I love it--my co-workers, boss, the people I work with, and the patience and gentleness it requires. For lunch today, Brad joined us and it usually takes time for me to mentally consolidate the two worlds. I wish he lived closer--or for spring break to last forever :D.
Since Brad and I will be tying the knot in July, we wanted to spend more time with my family in San Antonio. Brad has never been there so we hit up all the tourist sites...this turned out the be quite a crowded affair since some started celebrating spring break and St. Patty's day early. In spite of it all, the weather was perfect and the crowds charged the atmosphere. After San Antonio we went to Austin to visit the other side of the family.
Here is some of the fun:
From the left is Mr. Bradley, Cathy, my dad, and me :D. If I was forced to pick my favorite time, it would be quality talk-time with Brad in the car and this lunch viewed above. Perfection-- the cool air breeze, the weird pipe music in the background, and the anticipation of more to come... This is why I love photos--to help preserve the happiness.
Posing for me infront of this beautiful door! I really want to come here and take more photos downtown, the colors were all so vibrant!
"lick it up, lick it up, yeah, yeaaa yeah" --KISS, hahaha
Alright, well I'm really excited about next week---4 photo sessions! yay :D Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
SO--I got my new camera!! Sara was so amazing to let me take some photos of her :D ...Can we take some more sometime? Yes or yes? I need to still figure out how to use it.... haha It's late so here are a couple of my favorite.
And at least one fun one :D --As you can tell...we really had a great time, I still need to fix our cartwheel ones!
It took me forever to post these because my darling came home!! We went to San Antonio (Alamo, Riverwalk & Lackland Airforce Base) and then Austin (wedding and family stuff), I'll post more photos from those events later, currently they are on facebook!
SO, Amanda and Kyle are amazing! This afternoon was spent climbing into crowded, abandoned, cluttered, and strange places--all the while smiling and making out. Well, Caroline and I took photos while they had most the fun :D. I just feel so blessed having the opportunity to spend with my new found photo friends :). Thanks Kyle for letting us pick your brain!
Here are some of my favorites:
You guys are the perfect photo people...not one compliant about climbing in there...thorns-dirt and all :D
This is the wonderful Caroline! It was so nice having a second shooter--especially one who has such creative ideas and fresh perspective. Her pictures turned out amazing!!
This afternoon was so well spent. Riley and Sara had their b-day party! Jenna did such an amazing job organizing the whole affair. The theme was Scooby Doo and there was a marvellous Jolly Jump. What more could a kid ask for? Here are some of my favorite pics from the event:
The food perfectly matched the Scoobie Doo theme... Dog bowls, puppy chow, corn dogs, and candy shaped bones. Jenna, you're amazing!
Miss Sara enjoying the Jolly Jump :D
Isn't she adorable? The wonders of static :D
This goes to show how much fun the tot's were having :D
I love how you can see the smoke from the candles :D...One would think the photo would look amazing in B&W---not so much. I guess the candles would need to give more smoke? So, my birthday would work just fine :D
Now that is how a cake is to be enjoyed. Amen :D
Check out that tongue! :D
Is she not the cutest thing ever? I love that smirk!
I love the height difference... :D So precious.
The girls got so many wonderful presents! Any and everything from clothes, coloring books, Hannah Montanna (?? obviously I don't have kids) dolls, ponies, princess and cheer leader outfits, a bubble maker and their own bikes!
Tomorrow Caroline Joy (amazing photographer!!) and I will take some engagement photos! I'm really excited for the couple is artsy and doesn't mind being adventurous. YESSS. My favorite kind :D. It also really helps out that Kyle is a photographer himself! So, tomorrow more photos to come...
SO---I really want to take some photos this weekend; however, I need a subject. So, if you live in the Abilene area and want some free portraits let me know! My only criteria is that you are friendly, willing to smile :D, and open to try some new photo ideas.
If you're interested--either facebook, email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or leave a comment. One last thing...these photos require clothes (chantal...I won't take any photos like that of you!)...hahahaha :D
