we are featured! | soundtrack to i do | whitney + chris

I'm so excited to share that Whitney and Chris' wedding is featured on the innovative and creative Soundtrack To I Do wedding blog!

If you want any help finding great music selections for your wedding, head on over and check out Soundtrack To I Do.

What unique feature does this blog offer all?? In the words of editor/blogger/extraordinaire Colleen, "This site was created as a source of inspiration for all things musical and matrimonial. We hope to be a very helpful resource for brides (and grooms!) who want the perfect set of music for their wedding, but don’t know where to begin."

YAYYYY!!!! The day has come to post the sweet images from the wedding we photographed with Wednesday!!!! If I could pick one favorite thing from this event, I would just go ahead and say it. However, this event has culminated to a new level of awesomeness my mind cannot compute :D. Since Jessica had such a hand in the festivities and knows everything inside and out, I will let her do the describing:

“Many waters cannot quench love, rivers cannot wash it away”

Almost everything leading up to the wedding could have been considered less than ideal. Two months prior to the wedding we were venueless when the original venue double-booked. A month before the wedding we all held our breath as an Oklahoma tornado came within two miles and destroyed houses near the new venue. The outdoor rehearsal dinner was nearly blown away by 40 MPH winds. The groom's ring was nowhere to be found the day of the wedding. And to top it all off, unrelenting storms threatened to washout several months of tireless of planning. Yes, this could have been considered less than ideal, but Rebecca and Lucas laughed, smiled and were nothing short of content. It was so precious to see two people so incredibly joyful and certain about their decision to be together that nothing could discourage them from the love and excitement they felt that day.

Rebecca and Lucas are known for having reading dates. If they are driving in the car or just looking for a cheap date, they will read to one another. Cute in an endearing, quirky way, right?! So, we decided to play up the book theme when designing this budget conscious, DIY wedding for my little sister. Almost every detail was hand crafted with book pages and fabric to add some cheeky character to the day.

Please enjoy!

Look at those baby goats!! So cute :)

Emmy and Garrett are two peas in a pod. If they were at a party, I would head straight towards them and just know I would have a great time. They are so full of joy that if you're in close proximity to them, it will rub off of on you. How can one not resist?

Garrett is a youth pastor with a para-church discipleship based ministry called K-Life. Emmy Jo is a 4th grade English and writing teacher in Hillsboro. They met while at Baylor University at a sorority function, even though they weren't each other's date :D. hehe They have a great wedding website, so if you want to hear more of their story, head on over and check it out.

I'm so excited to share these, we had outstanding light, wind, sun, temperature, and the perfect couple :D. Thanks again for asking me to take these! Ohhh I hope you find some you love :)

Above: I just LOVE that one!!!

Above: And these have a unique story. We kept joking about Taco Bell burritos and how someone certain has a love for them, well, we ended up getting some :D. YUMM!! As you can tell, these two can even make eating a burrito look good :D.

Oh sweet goodness.

Whitney and Lance tied the knot last weekend and here are her bridals!!  She was so courageous!  With very ominous clouds we braved the outdoors until the heavy downpour began.  We moved it to the Stockyards and finished up there!  Also a huge thank you to Laura for helping us out :D.  It would have been impossible otherwise.

Enjoy!  (OH, check out her amazing hair!)

Oh sweet baby Ryan!  He was so well behaved and content.  His one request was, "please hold me".  At any time if he got upset, the formula was to pick him up, and wah-la, a happy baby once again :).  We got some great pre and post photos from before he was picked up and then after while Mike was holding him.  So precious!!

Carley had some adorable outfits and props for him too!  My personal favorite was the little red and white hat, and the best prop was definitely an old briefcase!  Thank goodness no accidents inside of that :D

Such an adorable nursery!
