jessica + ryan | engagements

Jessica and Ryan met me one rainy afternoon, determined to make the session work.  I have to admit, I was impressed :D.  Mud, water, rain, grass, clouds, dog poop on shoes, storms, and anything else...this couple can take it :).

Jessica and Ryan met in high school history class, where at first Jessica though Ryan was "Brian".  Ryan is from Victoria, Canada, and Jessica is from Des Moines, Iowa. Years later, Jessica is now an registered nurse and Ryan is about to graduate from Abilene Christian University with a degree in business management.  So cool :).  Ryan is also a dedicated hunter, and being from Canada, to me that means a whole new level of ruggedness since it can easily get into the 30 below temperature ranger!!  He mentioned the coldest temperature while hunting was -35 but on average it is -5.  That is not deer blind hunting...it's actually being out in the snow searching for moose and elk.

They are getting married this October in McKinney, Texas.  The details Jessica described to me sounded fantastic, chandeliers, jewel tone colors, vintage tall ceilings, and plush details.  Now if the big day would just hurry up and arrive already :D.

Here are your photos, again thank you for being so dedicated at getting the best possible photos :).  You both rock!!

Above: They were trying to swing and kiss...which has great potential for bonking heads :D, and made for great laughing shots :)

You two are perfect for one another :).

Thanks for asking me to be your photographer!! I'm so pumped :D.

cynda | senior

Cynda and her sister Charith met me in Ft Worth on the most beautiful day of the new year.  Picture perfect. There was a slight breeze of 7mph, cool temperature of 74 degrees, blossoms blooming, and birds chirping. Cynda lives in a small town just outside of Amarillo, and is visiting her sisters in Dallas for Spring break.

Cynda will be attending Harding University in Arkansas this fall and will be studying interior design.  Ohhh, how much fun will that be?!  Psychology was interesting but anything in the art department sounds interesting too (and more fun).  We drove around exploring new locations, testing out different ideas, and as the first photo reveals, posing in front of motorcycles :D.

I hope you can see her sweet spirit shine through these images.  Her heart is so kind.  Thank you girls for making this session so fun, my face still hurts from giggling so much :).

 Hope you enjoyed them!

chelsea + jared | engagements

Chelsea and Jared met me in Dallas for their fabulous engagement session.  We started off in downtown, went to more downtown, and then finished up a little outside of downtown :).  Chelsea and Jared preferred the more modern look so we were in search of clean and crisp lines.

Chelsea is finishing graduate school and will soon earn her doctor of Physical Therapy from Hardin Simmons University and Jared works in Lubbock doing medical sales.  Don't let this generic name fool you, though.  He helps train orthopedic surgeons how to use his company's surgical tools.  Clarification as to what that really means: He sits in on surgery and provides knowledge of how to use this new equipment...to the surgeons :). So cool right?  Such a smart, beautiful, outgoing, sweet, kind and friendly pair.  It was a real pleasure getting to drive around with these new friends.

Jared and Chelsea were high school sweethearts while they attended school in Brownwood, Texas, and later Texas Tech University.  Chelsea has the most contagious smile, every time she smiled I found myself smiling immediately :).  This couple was so flexible, willing to smile anywhere...even in restricted places that were "city owned".  Wouldn't you think that meant we (tax payers) could take photos there??  Well, no. Either way, we still snapped a couple inside an awesome statue before they kicked us out :).

Above:  Isn't that the most beautiful ring?!  Jared did that all by himself, no help.  Very impressive :D.
